新世界发展今日公布，为体现集团创造共享价值精神，将推出新一轮抗疫措施协助基层市民，受惠者可获1,000港元资助，作为疫苗接种薪金或健康谘询的津贴。首阶段名额约5,000个，由三间非牟利机构推荐及甄选服务对象，并安排发放方式，最快於本月底开始发放津贴。集团期望能略尽棉力，为基层大众提供疫情相关的适切协助。
因应2019冠状病毒病疫情严峻，集团创立了#LoveWithoutBders平台，自设厂房生产「香港製造」口罩，又首创自助口罩提取机，与近20间非牟利机构合作，在全港18区设立37部自助口罩提取机，免却基层排队轮候口罩之苦。自去年5月起，集团至今已向基层免费派发逾2,000万个新世界口罩。而今年随着疫苗接种计划展开，本港疫情亦稍见缓和，但不少非牟利机构反映，部份有意接种疫苗的基层市民，因为未能享有注射疫苗的有薪假期，在「手停口停」情况下，被迫放弃接种疫苗；部份则因对自身健康有疑虑，又不欲花费额外开支谘询医生意见，故而打消念头。
已预留500万元 关顾弱势基层
有见及此，新世界将推出首轮关顾基层人士接种疫苗的津贴计划，并夥拍香港路德会社会服务处、香港社区组织协会及圣雅各福群会，合共向5,000位基层人士发放津贴，受惠者可获1,000港元资助，作为疫苗接种薪金或健康谘询的津贴，由三间非牟利机构推荐及甄选服务对象，并安排发放方式，包括视乎受惠者的工作机构有否提供有薪针假、其健康谘询或身体检查需要，以及行业相关的需要等，务求令有需要的基层市民获得适切协助，在无後顾之忧的情况下接种疫苗。
新世界发展行政总裁郑志刚表示：「由首创自助口罩提取机向基层每星期派发口罩，到今次提供疫苗接种津贴，我们都非常重视与非牟利机构携手，因应疫情的变化为基层人士提供适切的抗疫援助，与社区共同抗疫。」
疫苗接种的津贴预计由六月底至八月底陆续分批发放，受惠者须向有关非牟利机构出示已接种两剂疫苗的纪录，发放详情稍後由三间非牟利团体各自公布。集团并已预留额外500万港元，视乎疫情发展，有需要时将研究展开第二阶段计划。
员工享两天有薪针假 免费疫苗副作用保障
同时，新世界亦正与多个商会、工商机构及组织商讨不同的疫苗奖赏计划，赞助奖金及奖品总值逾百万港元。集团早前亦已公布，每位员工接种两剂疫苗後，均可享两天有薪假期。而为方便员工，集团正安排於中环新世界大厦提供免费驻场疫苗接种服务，亦将与港怡医院合作举办网上讲座，讲解有关接种疫苗的知识。此外，集团早於今年一月一日起，透过旗下富通保险向集团所有员工提供免费疫苗副作用保障，有关保险并不需要员工事先登记或投保，令员工多一重保障。
集团会继续密切留意疫情最新发展，适时推出支援社区防疫措施，与港人携手共同抗疫。
