是次计划的亮点之一，是实习生有机会亲身体验多项与「创造共享价值」有关的项目，亦即了解商业企业如何透过社会创新等多项环节，与不同的持份者为社会创造更美好价值。实习生将获安排了解集团为社区而设的口罩生产计划，以及集团如何透过不同非牟利机构向基层派发口罩，同时亦会参与文化及艺术传承的活动，了解集团如何孕育文化创意一代，参观社会房屋项目等。透过不同类型的体验，让实习生加深认识新世界的「创造共享价值」企业精神，了解企业如何以解决社会问题为动机，创造经济价值，促进社会持续发展。

计划另一大特色，是实习过程主要以虚拟模式进行。实习生大部分时间会透过网络和视讯会议提交并汇报工作，方便他们随时随地工作，令安排更具弹性。同时，为了让实习同学有更丰富和全面的职场体验，集团亦会透过线上线下培训及多元化实体活动，如交流、参观、管理层分享等，让实习生有机会接触到不同持份者，丰富阅历、人脉与经验。

甄选方面，有别於大部分企业倾向以学生成绩为重要评审準则，新世界会更较注重申请者的人才质素及个人潜能，如是否具备企业家精神、前瞻性和创新思维、良好领导及表达能力等。实习期内表现优异者，日後若通过客观的评估，更有机会获聘用成为集团一分子。
