香港年度盛事StartmeupHK创业节的揭幕活动之一「1.5°C 峰会──以科技定义未来十年」今日圆满结束,各界在会上达成共识,遂以突破性科技驱动香港和其他城市在当下关键十年缓减气候变化影响,建构可持续未来。1.5°C峰会由新世界发展旗下开放式创新平台Eureka Nova 主办,今年第二届汇聚共50 位行业专家、企业家、政策制定者和商界领袖参与10 场研讨会,会上展示28个气候科技初创公司的展位,并吸引500 多名香港及海外人士登记出席网上和现场活动。
1.5°C 峰会连续两年成为StartmeupHK创业节的重点节目之一,为期一整天的网上及现场研讨活动聚焦气候变化和可持续发展等议题,为创业节揭开序幕。放眼在香港於2050 年前实现碳中和的目标,1.5°C 峰会重点探讨在当下十年大幅度减少碳排放的所需对策,当中涉及零碳排放创新技术、绿色建築节能科技的应用、环保交通运输方案,以及重塑减废行动等。1.5°C峰会受到联合国政府间气候变化专门委员会(IPCC)的启发,因它已多次强调,只有及时采取减缓行动,才有望将全球暖化升幅控制在摄氏1.5度以内,缓解引发气候变化最危险和不可逆转的影响。

在开幕典礼上,参与星级初创圆桌讨论的多位初创企业家嘉宾分享灼见,包括Vantem Global Inc.的Chris erson先生、安培能源的Anthony Stewart先生、Avant Meats的锺子健先生、Intensel的Entela Benz博士,以及香港特别行政区低碳绿色科研基金评审委员会的锺芯豫女士。他们向与会者细述运用突破性科技缓解气候危机的心路历程,以及他们为世界带来的正面影响。
